Senior Software Tester

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis , a rapidly growing small business in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Senior Software Tester.

Job Description:

Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios. Identifies and documents defects in software and/or IT systems. Works closely with development team to resolve defects. Reviews tests cases for accuracy against current publications, making corrections and updates where needed. Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment. Documents and communicates test results. Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Occasionally performs other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s and five (5) years or more experience; Master’s and three (3) years or more experience. Six (6) years relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Clearance:

• Must have an active Interim Secret Security Clearance; must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in systems testing, software testing, or software integration


• Ability to interact and work closely with the software development team to assist in acceptance criteria and test case review


• Proficiency with MS Office products

Desired Skills:

• Qualification in Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS


• 6+ years of UAS Instructor Operator experience


• 100+ hours operating UAS trainers (Embedded Trainer-ET or Universal Mission Simulator-UMS)


• Proficiency with Army Technical Manuals 


• Familiarity with working in an Agile/SCRUM environment 


• Experience developing testing criteria


• MS Azure experience
