Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This per diem opportunity for a School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) in Millbrook, AL is ideal for compassionate professionals focused on supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social development through personalized care. You will work in a school setting providing direct assistance under teacher guidance, helping students thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support
- Assisting students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
- Implementing behavior support plans and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
- Contributing to a respectful and safe learning atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama RN license
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Compliance with TB testing per district regulations
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting tasks
- Current background clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to start
Preferred Experience:
- Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or experience in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
- Reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach
