Within this role, you'll work closely with students requiring a range of specialized support, including those with behavioral needs. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week, providing a stable and engaging schedule.

This assignment places you in a supportive educational environment where professional growth is valued. The district will provide specialized MPS and de-escalation training, ensuring you have the tools and strategies to foster a positive, productive classroom for all learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility
• Demonstrated experience in managing diverse student caseloads
• Familiarity with self-contained classroom settings
• Understanding of behavioral interventions and IEP implementation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Manage and support a classroom of K-6th grade students with various learning and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with educational teams, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective student strategies
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required
• Participate in district-provided training, ongoing professional development, and multidisciplinary meetings
