ICU RN Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing
• Location: Gadsden, AL 35903 (Alabama healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• Start Date: February 2, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Pay Rate: $72/hour
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Alabama or Multistate Registered Nurse license (RN license; no prior NURSYS hits)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (critical care nurse)
• Experience caring for vented patients and managing vasoactive drips
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (travel nurse requirement)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and vasoactive medications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
