Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Specialist

The Lockwood Group is currently pursuing a contract with the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) and is looking for a qualified Logistics Management Specialist with a focus in Foreign Military Sales to support the Directorate in Huntsville, AL. *This position is contingent upon award* Duties and Responsibilities :
- Specialist will be responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating logistical planning and delivery schedules, logistical documentation, training plans and schedules to internal and external stakeholders.
- Specialist will be required to develop and maintain records to include, but not limited to, Materiel Fielding Plans (MFP), Integration and Training Master Schedules, interagency support agreements, comprehensive cost and requirement records, and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).
- Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of all transportation requirements (CONUS & OCONUS) of a major weapon system, associated maintenance support tools/devices and ammunition as directed from specified FMS and Cooperative cases.
- Specialist will be responsible for the coordination, management, execution and reporting of Quality Acceptance Testing (QAT) in support for a major weapon system and associated ammunition to internal and external stakeholders.
- Specialist will be required to coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders on training schedules, training Program of Instruction (POI) development and the execution of New Equipment Training for a major weapon system.
- Specialist will be required to coordinate and communicate with internal and external agencies and stakeholders (US and FMS customer) regarding transportation, delivery, reception, integration and training support activities for a major weapon system and associated ammunition.
- As directed, Specialist will also provide input to contract documentation and actions such as Letter of Request (LORs), Letter of Acceptance (LOAs), Price and Availability (P&A s), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), quotes, proposals, Statements of Work (SOW) and technical evaluations.
- Specialist will be required to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
- Specialist will be required to support materiel fielding and New Equipment Training (NET) activities.
- Specialist must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Specialist will be required to brief and interface with senior leaders and decision makers from Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Cooperative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Partner Nations.
- Required to travel and conduct hands on materiel fielding and new equipment training where the employee will be expected to pick up items heavier than 50lbs at times.
- BS Degree and 2-8 years of relevant experience required.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Salary :
- $80,000 to $100,000
