The Plant Manager serves as the strategic leader and is responsible for the day-to-day management. This role is accountable for the overall business strategy, execution, and P&L results. A core focus of this position is planning and growing the fabrication and roll forming segments of the business. The successful candidate will be results-oriented, highly analytical, and a strong leader who ensures that operational objectives and performance standards are implemented across all teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Requires 1–3 years of prior experience as a Plant Manager or Director of Operations. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and plant operations.

• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to read blueprints and schematics.

• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.

• The requirement for strong writing, presentation development, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. • Emphasis on being organized, ethical, and a leader by example.

• The general expectation to be a strong analytical thinker with the ability to motivate, provide competitive knowledge, vision, and direct employees.

• It requires the ability to draw “big picture” conclusions and take actions based on an understanding of the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all production operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with company goals.

• Coordinate daily order changes, fulfillment, and expedites with Sales and Production Control.

• Drive improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce waste.

• Achieve and maintain 100% on-time delivery performance.

• Maintain scrap levels below 2.5%.

• Execute plant-wide initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

• Ensure production of parts according to firm work orders.

• Partner with Production Control to resolve material and inventory issues.

• Maintain strategic inventory levels to support production demands.

• Collaborate with the Quality Manager to address customer concerns and maintain quality standards.

• Support development and implementation of quality procedures.

• Manage Quality Hold, Rework, and Feedback processes to ensure continuous improvement.

• Partner with the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

• Investigate and resolve safety incidents using root cause analysis and training.

• Promote and implement operator safety improvement initiatives.

• Lead, motivate, and develop plant personnel to achieve goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement.

• Maintain effective leadership across all shifts and departments.

• Select, train, and develop Group Leaders and Supervisors.

• Work with HR to identify and address skill gaps.

• Collaborate with HR and Production Supervisors to ensure appropriate staffing levels and maintain employee engagement.

• Foster collaboration and resolve interdepartmental issues constructively.

• Provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance management for all direct reports to promote accountability, development, and team collaboration across all departments.

• This position also has a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Plant Controller to ensure alignment on financial performance, cost management, and operational budgeting.

• The Plant Manager directly oversees key personnel as assigned. Strategic & Corporate Support

• Support the President of Contract Manufacturing Group with corporate-level initiatives, including:

• Human Resources strategy

• Long-term operational planning

• Cost reduction and efficiency projects
