We are seeking a Contracted Licensed Therapist to join our team! You will provide individual and family counseling services I to clients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
• Offer assistance for resources to individuals with substance abuse issues
• Provide CBT therapy along with other therapeutic approaches.
• Create and Implement and review treatment plans
• Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• Familiarity with community mental health resources
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong leadership qualities

Noah’s Ark Child and Family Treatment Center is a NON-PROFIT Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield Rehabilitation Option approved provider for The Alabama Department of Mental Health Services. These services offer a variety of crisis prevention and intervention modalities that are intended to stabilize the living arrangement, promote reunification, and prevent the utilization of out-of-home- placement for consumers. These services are delivered to both children and adults 4 and older.
Noah’s Ark Child and Family Treatment Center specializes in treating children and adults with significant psychiatric illness and impairment in behavioral, cognitive, emotional, familial, and/or social functioning.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
Psychotherapy is provided utilizing CBT. CBT is often utilized with children and adults to treat a variety of conditions with great success. Noah’s Ark Child and Family Treatment Center utilizes behavior modification to challenge consumers internal beliefs and assumptions regarding matters that are upsetting them. The objective is to eliminate debilitating cognitions and replace them with productive ones. In turn, these new conceptions transform the consumer’s behaviors and relieve their unhappiness or suffering.
Multi-Systemic Approach
A Multi-Systemic Theoretical Approach to utilizing an individually prescribed continuum of treatment from residential treatment to community-based treatment is offered. Through this innovative program, children and adults internalize change, develop self discipline and self esteem, and practice newly acquired personal and social skills.
A MST Approach of family therapy utilizes the current “systems” that are present in the families immediate environment to assist with reinforcing the families support system. The Multi-Systematic Approach also targets the primary issues that are causing crises within the home with the family and the identified child or adult to promote immediate resolutions, establish clear boundaries and structure with all parties involved.
Noah’s Ark Child and Family Treatment Center provides services to consumers regardless of race, gender, creed, national origin, or disability. Noah’s Ark Child and Family Treatment Center’s policies and procedures encourage the input, involvement, and impact from consumers, their families, advocates, businesses and community representatives.
The consumer has an active participation in the design process and participation. The goals and objectives are individualized and reviewed on a regular basis and are modified by the changing needs, circumstances, and responses of the consumer.
