A retail staff pharmacist opportunity is available for per diem coverage on April 9 and from April 28 to May 1. This role supports a specialty pharmacy serving both the Montgomery and Dothan areas, requiring flexibility to work at both locations as needed.
Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am 12:00 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions accurately to ensure patient safety and compliance
- Oversee and manage one pharmacy technician, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate within a busy independent and specialty pharmacy environment
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Alabama State Pharmacist license with no negative history
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a retail staff pharmacist
- Experience working in a busy independent or specialty pharmacy preferred
- Ability to manage and lead pharmacy support staff effectively
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX pharmacy software is a plus
