What You'll Bring:
- A valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with special needs students
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and families
- A positive, solution-focused mindset and a flexible approach
- Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering growth and independence for every student
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's learning needs
- Monitor academic and behavioral progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Partner closely with general education teachers, counselors, and other support staff
- Maintain clear and consistent documentation of student achievements and challenges
- Foster a welcoming, supportive, and safe classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and collaborate on goals
