**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Shipping and Receiving Operator, you will efficiently and accurately fulfill and ship customer orders within a warehouse environment. Your role is crucial to maintaining the smooth flow of goods from storage to shipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Locate and retrieve items from storage locations based on orders.
+ Sort and place items on shelves, racks, or bins according to procedures.
+ Operate the shipping system to coordinate shipments.
+ Maintain shipping records and ensure accuracy.
+ Ensure the accuracy and quality of items selected and prepared for shipment.
+ Update inventory records to reflect items received and shipped.
+ Operate any equipment needed safely, adhering to all safety regulations.
+ Keep work areas clean and organized.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
+ Proficiency in order picking and selecting.
+ Skills in scanning and inventory management.
+ Experience with forklifts and cherry pickers.
+ Computer skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Forklift and/or other MHE experience is nice to have.
+ SAP experience is beneficial but not required.
+ 1-2+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution settings.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a large distribution center off Neelytown Road in Montgomery, which houses between 40-45 warehouse workers specializing in the distribution of household tool products such as nails and screws. The position is for the 2nd shift, which operates from 3 PM to 11:30 PM/12 AM, Monday through Friday. Dress code includes jeans, steel-toe boots, and polo or short sleeve shirts (avoiding anything offensive).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, NY.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
