Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as EEO Investigator. You will be responsible for investigating internal employee complaints involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including sexual harassment claims, to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws.

 

Job Description

Through the supervised efforts of the Office of Legal Affairs, the responsibilities of the EEO investigator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Investigate internal complaints of discrimination, including claims of sexual harassment, maintaining the System’s compliance with all federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws to ensure equal opportunity within the terms, conditions, and privileges of employment;
  • Providing an internal avenue of redress through the investigation and resolution of complaints of unlawful employment discrimination and harassment; and
  • Assisting with other assignments and special projects as required.

 

Skills Required

  • 4+ years of experience conducting EEO related investigations
  • Must be familiar with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws
  • Substantial experience in conducting investigations
  • Strong writing skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws
  • Must be able to report to various healthcare facilities throughout New York City to provide targeted, timely, and productive support for the Office of EEO as necessary
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong investigative skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills required.
  • Adept at quickly synthesizing information to distill critical issues and formulate recommendations that consider risks, benefits and alternative perspectives.
  • Strong people skills and can understand and effectively navigate within a large organizational structure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced health care/hospital setting.

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred

Additional requirements

  • Shift Time: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM

 

Pay rate

  • $61- $72 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
