Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support. You will be the heartbeat of our practice, ensuring smooth operations while providing compassionate assistance to patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and hospital environments. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of medical service and patient satisfaction.
What you’ll do
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and vital signs.
- Administer medications and vaccines
- Support clinical procedures in diverse areas such as internal medicine, and emergency medicine.
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation
- Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff to enhance patient service.
- Prepare patients for examinations, including assisting with X-rays and other diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient settings
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Basic qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in handling EHR systems for efficient patient management.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in primary care
- CMA certification
- Fluency in Spanish Preferred
