About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and values accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices across multiple entities and cost centers while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

• Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements and credit card transactions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

• Vendor Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, resolving discrepancies and maintaining professional relationships.

• Payment Execution: Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and electronic transfers with proper documentation and accuracy.

• Reporting Support: Assist in generating accounts payable reports, including aging reports and audit-related documentation.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to improve processes and support financial operations.

• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies efficiently.

• Month-End Support: Assist with month-end close activities and provide support during audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Experience with accounting software (ERP systems preferred).

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
