Software Architect

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Software Architect for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

This position is onsite in Montgomery, AL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a high-caliber Software Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of our mission-critical IIS-hosted applications. In this role, you will act as the technical authority, bridging complex business requirements with secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity, security, and scalability of enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural discussions to analyze technical requirements and design scalable, performance-efficient applications optimized for IIS deployment
• Translate complex business needs into detailed technical designs, components, and specifications for development teams
• Evaluate, recommend, and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and libraries for both front-end and back-end solutions
• Establish and enforce code quality standards, best practices, and rigorous code reviews across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Design and engineer systems with a strong focus on database optimization, performance tuning, and caching strategies to ensure maximum efficiency
• Ensure all application architectures strictly adhere to ADPH security standards and enterprise security requirements
• Serve as the technical liaison between software developers, project managers, business analysts, and customers to ensure successful and timely project delivery
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in converting complex business requirements into well-structured technical architectures

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of ASP.NET Core MVC 4/5
• 8+ years of C#
• 8+ years of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery
• 8+ years of ADO.NET
• 8+ years of SQL Server / SSMS
• 8+ years of Visual Studio
• 8+ years of Bootstrap
• 8+ years of IIS (Internet Information Services) configuration and optimization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong architectural mindset with experience designing enterprise-scale systems
• Proven ability to optimize application performance and scalability
• Deep understanding of secure software design principles
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Experience working across cross-functional teams in a leadership role
