Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Huntsville, AL, supporting PreK through 8th-grade students in a school setting. The position begins ASAP or at the start of the January semester and runs through May 22, 2026. This role offers a structured schedule Monday through Thursday providing direct therapy to students, with Fridays dedicated to assessments and administrative tasks.

This position involves sharing the caseload with another SLP, allowing flexible division of responsibilities. Currently, the caseload is approximately 58 students, including nine primary-level cases, with ongoing efforts to dismiss some students. The school day begins at 7:45 am CST, and therapy schedules are already established to promote consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy services for PreK-8 students in accordance with established schedule.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with school staff and utilize para support to manage student transitions to the therapy room.
• Manage caseload effectively in partnership with another SLP.
• Use virtual therapy skills alongside in-person sessions as needed.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and case management.
• Maintain compliance with Alabama state laws and school district policies.

Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Alabama.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
• Experience in school-based and virtual therapy settings.
• Familiarity with Alabama educational laws is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of IEP case management systems, particularly PowerSchool, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with another therapist.
