Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient centered care.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to social work practices and ethics in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
3. Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to coordinate and integrate social work services into the overall treatment plan for patients.
4. Provide clinical supervision and guidance to social work staff, including mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.
5. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards for patient confidentiality and informed consent.
6. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to develop and review treatment plans and address the social and emotional needs of patients.
7. Conduct assessments and provide individual and group therapy to patients, as needed.
8. Advocate for patients' rights and work with community resources to facilitate discharge planning and aftercare services.
9. Collaborate with external agencies, such as child protective services or adult protective services, to address any concerns related to patient safety and well-being.
10. Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and trends in the field of social work, and integrate this knowledge into practice and program development.

Qualifications

1. Licensed Social Worker in good standing with a bachelor's degree in social work (Master's degree preferred)
2. Previous experience in discharge planning, case management, or a similar role in a mental health or psychiatric setting is highly desirable
3. Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, and community resources.
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work compassionately with a diverse patient population.
