Your future role
- Lead the accounting team in processing invoices for internal and external clients
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and monthly management reports
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain budget variances to senior management
- Coordinate and support audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual budget process
- Collaborate with North American team members across Logistics, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless financial operations
- Implement and monitor new accounting procedures, driving process improvements
- Oversee project accounting including job cost reporting WIP analysis, and risk identification
- Manage intercompany & technical accounting, including accruals and manufacturing costing
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment
Required skills
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and US GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Global perspective on financial mandates and business operations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills
- CPA certification – considered a strong asset.
