Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contracted, onsite opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with a schedule running from July 27, 2026, through May 28, 2027. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you'll work closely with students and staff, helping learners achieve their communication goals while collaborating within a supportive educational environment.

Skills and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Previous experience delivering speech services in a school environment preferred
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Alabama
• Confidence in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in school-aged children
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech therapy sessions to students based on individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assess speech, language, and communication abilities to determine student needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans and therapy goals
• Maintain thorough case documentation and timely reporting as required by school and state regulations
• Consult with teachers and parents to support student progress and classroom communication strategies
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with eligibility and annual review processes
• Flexible to adapt caseload as needs are determined; caseload details will be discussed during the interview
