Job Summary

If you're interested in the Entry Level Seed Technician job , then this is the best role for you! Seed Technicians are involved in all aspects of seed production, both indoors and outdoors , including processing, packaging, planting, harvesting, and maintaining accurate records and inventory.

Job Description

  • Perform indoor seed processing and packaging activities such as receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, and warehousing seed.
  • Conduct outdoor tasks including planting, pollinating, note taking, data entry, and hand harvesting.
  • Support preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
  • R&D roles may include electronic data collection in field and lab settings using PC and handheld devices.
  • Manufacturing/production roles may involve organizing, moving, and placing seed into storage while maintaining inventory accuracy with electronic systems.
  • Follow all task and safety instructions delivered in English.
  • Adhere to SOPs and site safety requirements.
  • Perform physical activities that may involve bending, lifting, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
  • Work extended hours during peak seasons.

Skills Required

  • 1–3 years of experience .
  • Ability to follow verbal and written task/safety instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing assigned tasks.
  • Previous experience with MS Office, Excel, and standard computer/software systems (preferred).
  • Basic mechanical ability, including operating and troubleshooting equipment (preferred).
  • Good teamwork and reliability in following safety and operational protocols.

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass a drug screening .
  • Shift: 06 :00 AM
  • Ability to perform physical labor such as bending, lifting, and working long periods of standing/sitting.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Estimated Salary : $16.00 to $24.00 per hour based on qualifications.
