We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Treatment / Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our team.
In this role, you’ll help improve residents’ quality of life through specialized skin and wound care while working closely with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional outcomes.

Position Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) , the Treatment Nurse is responsible for overseeing skin care services and wound treatment for residents under physician supervision.
This role focuses on the prevention, treatment, monitoring, and management of skin disorders and wounds in accordance with established clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all direct wound care activities to ensure consistency and quality
- Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care needs for residents
- Manage and treat skin disorders and wounds according to physician orders and protocols
- Coordinate weekly skin rounds
- Perform wound and skin assessments through observation and inspection
- Collaborate with the Care Planning Team to develop individualized care plans
- Monitor preventive measures including turning, positioning, and skin protection programs
- Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on wound prevention and skin health
- Precept and train nursing staff on wound care procedures and best practices
- Order and track wound care supplies and equipment
- Assist with modifying treatment regimens based on resident response and clinical needs
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
- Wound care or treatment certification preferred
- Willingness to obtain wound care certification for the right candidate
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Passion for resident-centered care and quality outcomes
