Office Assistant
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Office Assistant for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this vital role, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional support to staff and visitors alike. Your energy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will help create an efficient and welcoming environment.

Pay Rate
$22.00 – $25.00 per hour (Based on experience and skill level)

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Office Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls accurately and courteously
• Handle data entry, filing, and document proofreading to maintain organized records
• Support office management tasks such as supply inventory, and basic bookkeeping with QuickBooks or similar software
• Assist with clerical duties including typing, document preparation, and maintaining office cleanliness and organization
• Occasional office errands, running bids, attending pre-bid meetings offsite.

Office Assistant Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven office experience or administrative background demonstrating organizational skills and computer literacy
• EXPERIENCE with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel , Outlook).
• Strong typing skills and attention to detail for proofreading and data entry tasks
• Experience with multi-line phone systems
• Knowledge of office management procedures including filing systems, calendar management, and basic bookkeeping (QuickBooks preferred)
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Type
Full-time, temporary to hire
