CNC Machinist
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to machine hydraulic cylinder components
- Machine parts including cylinder rods, tubes, pistons, and glands
- Cut metric and standard threads (ID and OD) accurately and consistently
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform basic inspections to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements
- Make offset adjustments and minor edits at the machine as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and safety standards
- Primary focus: CNC Lathe work (mill experience also required)
- Axis: Standard CNC lathe and mill configurations used in hydraulic component manufacturing
- Machines: Various CNC machines (no specific brand requirement)
- Programming: No specific CAM software required
- Materials: Carbon and alloy steels commonly used in hydraulic cylinder manufacturing
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Strong CNC lathe experience with working knowledge of CNC mills
- Proven ability to cut metric and standard threads (internal and external)
- Experience machining steel components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
