Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Director of Supply Chain to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including strategic sourcing, obsolescence management, procurement, vendor negotiation and management, inventory management, government property, and product delivery activities to include ITAR compliance.
Duties Include :
- Strategic Leadership: Develop supply chain strategies that enable cost and schedule efficiencies for product teams, foster product quality, and help ensure products will meet all domestic and international regulatory requirements as applicable.
- Procurement and Vendor Management: Oversee the procurement team to negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. Engage with suppliers to forecast program needs and ensure supplier capacity can meet those needs. Work with engineering, program managers, and quality to assess supplier performance and maintain a thorough and accurate approved supplier list.
- Supply Chain Analysis and Risk Management: In conjunction with engineering and program management, identify part obsolescence risk as well as supplier performance risk and take appropriate measures to identify alternative sources to mitigate these risks.
- Inventory: Manage inventory accuracy, inventory optimization, inventory processes, and material forecasting. This includes leveraging data analytics to forecast and maintain adequate inventory levels to minimize capital required while maximizing delivery schedule efficiency. Additionally, maintain accurate records of Government property within Invariant’s control and other critical assets owned or controlled by Invariant.
- Logistics: Oversee shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation to ensure products arrive on time and within budget. Responsible for processes and procedures to optimize freight methods, and communication to PMs on item status vs. need dates.
- ITAR/EAR Compliance: Serve as the corporate liaison for all ITAR/EAR compliance activities, working with product team to understand capabilities and the export compliance legal team to stay aware of all governing laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or operations
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain and operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with demonstrated strategic thinking and execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership, government customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Proactive in identifying and implementing policies and procedures that make Invariant agile and efficient.
- Deep proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics.
- Experience with ITAR compliance for large weapon system development programs.
This position is expected to be performed only in the state of Alabama.
