Service Manager
About Our Client Our client is a trusted, family-owned, supplier of capital equipment and engineered solutions with 20 locations throughout the US. Due to growth and market expansion, Naviga has been retained to recruit a Service Manager. What You Will Do - Lead the day-to-day service operations of the branch, managing 6-10 service technician productivity, dispatch, and department budgets.
- Partner with the Branch Manager and collaborate closely with the parts and sales teams to ensure a unified customer experience.
- Serve as the face of the service department, modeling exceptional customer interaction and driving satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure service metrics are met or exceeded, while maintaining strong operational efficiency and team morale.
- Provide leadership, support, and accountability to the team of seven technicians and related staff.
- Implement best practices in technician scheduling, safety, and service quality.
- Contribute to branch-wide performance meetings and work closely with regional leadership on strategic goals.
Who You Are Minimum of 3–5 years of experience overseeing operations, including managing technicians in a machinery or related service environment, preferable heavy equipment/forklift.
Strong customer service and leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example and resolve challenges proactively.
Experience with technician dispatch and service department KPIs.
Strong communication, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Pre Employment Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and background check
