Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for managing the capitalization of projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies, and supporting month-end close activities
Job Description
- Week 1: Learn internal processes and systems
- Week 2: Begin processing capital assets with some guidance
- After 1 month: Process capital assets with minimal guidance and meet weekly capitalization targets
- All work must comply with Client policies and applicable accounting standards
- Assist with other general ledger tasks as assigned such as balance sheet account reconciliation, month-end close journal entries and account variance analysis.
Skills Required
- Strong foundation in capital/fixed assets accounting and general accounting.
- Proficient in Infor FSM Cloud suite (ERP), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Adobe PDF for financial reporting and documentation.
- Experience in capital asset accounting and general ledger functions, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end variance analysis
- Must be an experienced accountant who can quickly adapt and contribute
- Preferred background in capital asset accounting and general ledger accounting, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end account analysis.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Accounting degree preferred but not required. No CPA required
