Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Assistant Softball Coach . The primary role of this individual is to assist the head coach in establishing and executing a team philosophy centered on growing young women, spiritually, intellectually, physically, and professionally. The ideal candidate will cultivate a culture of discipline, unity, and high achievement while modeling Faulkner's Christian mission. Faulkner University is an NAIA Division I member and is competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 10-month position (Aug-May).
Summary of Duties:
- Assist with budget management
- Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions
- Coordinate practice schedules and travel arrangements
- Assist in coordinating all aspects of the softball program
- Recruit and retain high quality, missionally aligned student athletes
- Help organize camps, clinics, community events, and other revenue-support opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience required; collegiate experience preferred
- Frequent evening and weekend hours, and travel
- Active member of the church of Christ
