Snelling is hiring for a Draftsman (entry level) in the Alabaster area for a machining manufacturing company. Looking for someone with high level of attention to detail as this is crucial as drafters must create precise and accurate drawings with correct dimensions and specifications.

Starting salary of $40,000-50,000, depending on experience, with room for advancement!

Responsibilities for Draftsman (entry level):

• Creating and Modifying Drawings: Using CAD software to develop 2D and 3D drawings based on sketches, specifications, and instructions from senior staff.
• Updating existing drawings and plans based on changes or "redline" markups from engineers.
• Organizing and maintaining digital files, ensuring version control, and preparing documents for printing or plotting.
• Performing checks on drawings to ensure they are accurate and adhere to project and company standards.

Qualifications for Draftsman (entry level):

• CAD Proficiency: A strong working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit, is essential. Employers often test a candidate's ability to create and modify drawings during the interview process.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of technical drawing principles, including blueprint reading, geometric concepts, and industry-specific standards
• Mathematical Aptitude: Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry, are needed for calculating dimensions, angles, and other measurements.
