Maintenance Engineer | New Food Manufacturing Facility | Montgomery, AL

We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to help lead the setup, startup, and ongoing operations of this state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. Salary and Benefits:

• $90,000–$110,000 base salary + 15% bonus

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Lead a crew of maintenance technicians, ensuring all equipment meets safety, food quality, and operational standards
• Direct all daily maintenance work orders, urgent repairs, and planned maintenance activities
• Spend at least 60% of your shift actively on the production floor coaching and supporting the maintenance team
• Drive a proactive maintenance culture with focus on early equipment life-cycle management
• Partner with production teams to align maintenance priorities with operational targets
• Document maintenance activities in SAP, ensuring full transparency and data accuracy
• Train technicians on new equipment, preventative maintenance routines, and troubleshooting best practices
• Support the setup and optimization of new compounding, packaging, and processing equipment
• Foster a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA, food safety, and internal policies
• Lead and participate in root cause analyses for maintenance issues to prevent reoccurrences
• Promote TPM/WCM and continuous improvement initiatives, aiming to boost reliability and operational efficiency

What You’ll Bring

• BS/BA in Engineering, Operations, or related technical field preferred
• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (food, beverage, cpg or related industries preferred)
• Strong technical background in hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems, and industrial electrical troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of maintenance management systems such as SAP
• Ability to lead, train, and inspire teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Commitment to food safety, employee safety, and maintenance excellence
