Montgomery VPC Team – Quality Control Inspector (1st Shift) Location: Montgomery, AL. Salary: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00. Role Summary The Quality Control Inspector audits the quality of GLOVIS services including, but not limited to, underbody coat applications, vehicle processing operations, PIO parts installations, load line processes, export processes, body shop repairs, and rail loading. Audit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructions; assist with corrective actions and countermeasures, provide input on issues, alert supervisor when defects not repaired. Assist with development of audit strategies, training of new staff, implementation of audit policies, procedures, assessment schedules. Fill in where needed, including all Tier 1 & 2 positions. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Ability to adapt to process change and ISO standards. Follow written and verbal instructions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to record and verify numbers up to 17 characters. Computer literacy; experience in Bluetooth/RF technology and logistics software preferred. Education & Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. Valid state‑issued driver’s license without restrictions. 1 year quality inspection preferred. Physical Requirements Drive, walk, work at heights ~20 ft. Lift up to 25 lb, carry up to 25 lb, push/pull, bend/stoop, kneel, squat/crouch, stand. Working and Environmental Conditions Plant manufacturing/warehouse setting. Exposure to loud noises from vehicles and heavy machinery. Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
