Bucks- Alabama-Stocker

Job Summary

The Stocker is responsible for maintaining inventory levels, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor and stockroom are clean, safe, and well-stocked. This role supports daily store operations by unloading shipments, stocking shelves, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and organize incoming freight and merchandise
• Stock shelves, displays, and end caps according to company standards
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and priced
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of stockroom and sales floor
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies
• Follow safety procedures when handling equipment and merchandise
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service when assisting shoppers
• Support store team with general tasks and daily operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail or stocking experience is a plus
• Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise (up to 50 lbs or more)
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to operate basic stocking equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.)

Work Environment

• Retail store setting (hardware/home improvement environment)
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions depending on store needs
