About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Compunnel Healthcare to find a qualified Dialysis RN in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35401!

• Perform and monitor hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis treatments .
• Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis, including vital signs, fluid status, and vascular access sites .
• Initiate, manage, and discontinue dialysis treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Administer medications such as anticoagulants, erythropoietin, and IV fluids .
• Monitor for and respond to dialysis-related complications (e.g., hypotension, cramping, infection).

Requirements

• Dialysis ratios - 1:2 () or 1:3 (RN + ) ratios.
• Equipment- DCH currently uses Fresenius machines, Gambro as needed.

Education - Required

1. Associated degree in nursing

Certifications – Required

1. AHA BLS
2. Or Red Cross

Licenses – Required

1. Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)
2. NURSYS

Experience - Required:

1. 2 years of RN experience with at least one (1) recent year experience in ACUTE dialysis is required. Professional Nursing Certification preferred. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.
