Position Summary

Florala Pharmacy Inc. is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing exceptional care to our community. We are looking for a dependable professional who values accuracy, teamwork, and personalized customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Counsel patients on medications, side effects, interactions, and proper use.
• Administer immunizations and other pharmacist-authorized clinical services.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with Alabama Board of Pharmacy, DEA, HIPAA, and company policies.
• Manage workflow efficiently while maintaining patient safety and service standards.
• Resolve insurance claim issues and assist with prior authorizations when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory, including controlled substance records.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, prescribers, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the State of Alabama in good standing.
• PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations and pharmacy law.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
• Immunization certification preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with pharmacy management systems and third-party billing preferred.
