Responsible for overseeing all logistics operations, including transportation, inventory, and warehouse management to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of materials and products. Provides strategic direction and leadership to the logistics team.

Functions / Tasks:

• Manage logistics planning and scheduling to support production and customer delivery requirements.

• Supervise transportation activities to ensure timely arrival and dispatch of goods.

• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels through collaboration with warehouse and materials teams.

• Lead daily logistics team meetings and communicate delivery updates and concerns.

• Review logistics KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations.

• Work closely with suppliers and carriers to resolve delivery issues and streamline processes.

• Develop cost-saving strategies in logistics operations.

• Escalate risks related to supply continuity following the established procedure.

Additional Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly physical inventories and cycle counts.

• Serve as the key contact for logistics-related audits and compliance reviews.

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Communicate with management, vendors, and team members in a professional and courteous manner.

• Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills

• Proven leadership and team management experience.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

• Effective interpersonal communication with all levels of staff and external partners.

• Familiarity with logistics systems, ERP software, and transportation regulations.

Health, Safety, & Physical Demands

• Safety glasses are required at all times on the plant floor.

• Must be able to work in a manufacturing plant environment, walk the plant floor frequently, bend, reach, stoop, and wear required PPE.

• Must be able to work long hours, overtime, and weekends/holidays as needed.

Schedule - First Shift

Compensation: $85K - $100K DOE

PROFILE

ACADEMIC EDUCATION (minimum / desirable)

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (minimum / desirable)

5+ years in logistics or supply chain management roles.

Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment is preferred. Working knowledge of inventory control systems, dock operations, and transportation scheduling.

Strong leadership and team development skills.

Excellent communication and customer service mindset with a proactive “YES” mentality.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
