  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement CI attributes, relationships, and lifecycle states to align with operational and compliance needs
  • Support ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and other modules by ensuring CMDB data is properly integrated and utilized in workflows
  • Perform routine CMDB audits, reconcile data discrepancies, and maintain data integrity through configuration management best practices
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor CMDB health and provide insights for decision-making
  • Assist in defining and documenting CMDB governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure sustained accuracy and value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and cybersecurity personnel, to support platform enhancements and compliance efforts
  • Conduct training and provide guidance to end-users and administrators on CMDB and Discovery functionalities.
  • Ensure all Discovery and CMDB activities comply with DoD security frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-171, and CMMC

Requirements:

    • ITIL certification is a plus
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB architecture, including CI class structures and relationship mappings
    • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Glide API) and system integrations (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs)
    • Familiarity with network protocols, infrastructure, and cloud technologies related to Discovery activities
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or ServiceNow Agile Development
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex Discovery and CMDB-related issues
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
    • Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for optimizing CMDB processes and data quality
