As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Calera, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a welcoming and secure environment at a prominent food and beverage location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, greeting and assisting visitors, and providing clear communication to both guests and staff. By maintaining a visible presence at the front desk, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist visitors, employees, and vendors at the front desk, providing customer service while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, Allied Universal management, and emergency responders as needed.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns at the front desk area.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
