Graphic Designer & Visual Communications Specialist
The Graphic Designer & Visual Communications Specialist is responsible for the conceptualization, design, and execution of visual assets that define the Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) brand. This role is a creative engine for the airport, producing engaging, passenger-facing, and community-focused materials that support air service development, public information, and terminal initiatives.
The ideal candidate blends high-level technical design skill with the ability to manage physical logistics, such as event setup and signage installation. This role requires a proactive collaborator who can translate complex aviation projects into compelling visual stories. This position requires regular availability to assist with collaboration, photography, events, and other airport-based projects and initiatives. The role works under general supervision and collaborates closely with the Marketing & Communications team and airport departments to translate airport projects, services, and campaigns into compelling visual content.

Environmental & Event Support: Design and assist in the physical implementation of terminal-based visuals, seasonal décor, and promotional displays.
Campaign Execution: Support route announcements and community initiatives by developing cohesive visual "packages" for social media, web, and traditional media.
Content Creation: Capture high-quality photography and short-form video of airport operations and events to fuel marketing channels.
Departmental Collaboration: Partner with various airport departments to translate operational data or technical concepts into easy-to-understand infographics and presentations.
Digital Maintenance: Support basic website updates and manage creative workflows to ensure all deadlines are met for high-visibility projects.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in graphic design or visual communications.
Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to pitch creative concepts to internal stakeholders.

Portfolio: A professional portfolio demonstrating a range of design styles and technical proficiency is required for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Experience: Prior experience in aviation, transportation, or the public sector.
Campaign Management: Experience in end-to-end campaign support, from digital asset creation to physical signage installation. A "hands-on" mindset for setting up physical marketing activities.
Digital Skills: Experience with social media management, basic web CMS updates, or motion graphics.
Why Join MGM?
Impact: See your work displayed on a massive scale throughout the terminal and the community.
Growth: Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, essential industry with a supportive team.
