About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35401!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to renal patients pre- and post-hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes.

• Administer medications, treatments, and renal replacement therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.

• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the Meditech EMR system.

• Support patients and families throughout their renal health journey, offering education and emotional support.

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and infection control standards.

• Float as necessary to other units or hospitals within the DCH Health System.
