Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to support specific areas of our plant, including the cold mill, hot mill, cast house, element 13, or roll shop. This role involves working in a heavy industrial environment, requiring previous mechanical maintenance experience in such settings. We are open to considering candidates with backgrounds as mechanical millwrights or contractors.

• Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment installation.
• Work with large equipment such as rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, casting equipment, and furnaces.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and precision due to tight tolerances of equipment.
• Apply expertise in hydraulics and pneumatics for effective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot to the component level to develop on-site repair plans.

This is a heavy industrial environment with no climate control, meaning you will be exposed to hot conditions in the summer and cold conditions in the winter. Work around furnaces may increase heat exposure. Although there is a union in one department, most maintenance roles are non-union. Our expansive campus can be overwhelming initially, but you will be assigned to a specific department with its own manager and training program. There is significant room for growth, with opportunities to test for different levels and switch departments for further development. Please note that no jewelry is permitted on-site, and the campus is tobacco-free. The role involves 12-hour shifts, either days or nights.

This is a Permanent position based out of Muscle Shoals, AL.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
