As we continue expanding, we are looking for a motivated and energetic Business Development & Marketing Specialist to help grow our presence in the Birmingham area.
Position SummaryWe’re seeking a results-driven professional who thrives on building relationships, increasing brand visibility, and creating new business opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of sales, marketing, and community engagement while helping drive long-term growth for the company.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Development & Marketing Specialist:Business Development- Identify and connect with local businesses and organizations
- Develop strategic partnerships throughout the community
- Generate, qualify, and manage new business leads
- Schedule and attend meetings with prospective clients
- Maintain ongoing communication and follow-up with customers and prospects
- Track sales activities and opportunities through CRM platforms
- Explore and develop new revenue opportunities
- Manage and grow local social media engagement
- Represent zTrip at community events and local initiatives
- Coordinate grassroots marketing and outreach campaigns
- Create and distribute email marketing campaigns
- Assist with local advertising and promotional efforts
- Support brand awareness initiatives across the Birmingham market
- Develop engaging digital and promotional content
- Assist with recruiting events and hiring initiatives
- Support communication efforts with drivers and staff
- Help maintain strong customer relationships and satisfaction
- Provide administrative and organizational support to leadership
This role requires active participation in the local business community, including:
- Birmingham networking events
- Chamber of Commerce meetings
- Entrepreneur and startup meetups
- Small business and community expos
- Excellent communication and networking abilities
- Self-motivated with an outgoing, professional personality
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Background in sales, marketing, business development, or customer relations preferred
