About the RoleThe PRM Quality Assurance Specialist supports the FSQA Manager and Plant Manager in maintaining and strengthening the facility’s food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance programs.
This position serves as a key resource for food safety, quality, documentation, testing, audits, employee training, and continuous improvement. The Quality Assurance Specialist will also learn and train in harvest and fabrication operations to help ensure food safety requirements are properly understood and followed throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities- Complete required Harvest and Fabrication paperwork accurately and on time.
- Conduct routine audits and daily pre-operational inspections.
- Monitor compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
- Collect product samples and perform analytical testing according to established procedures.
- Calibrate equipment to maintain accuracy and proper operation.
- Maintain accurate food safety, quality, and regulatory records.
- Safely use knives and other required tools when performing assigned duties.
- Assist with employee training related to food safety and quality programs.
- Participate in facility audits, investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science or related field.
- HACCP certification with experience developing and implementing a comprehensive HACCP plan required.
- Previous quality control experience with beef, pork, or poultry products required.
- Must be able to operate the following: thermometer, knife, meat hook, and other electrical tools needed for the job.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, sanitation, microbiology and regulatory compliance preferred.
- Experience in a production facility is preferred.
- Working knowledge of USDA regulations and plant procedures.
- Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and an insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
- Must successfully complete the required criminal and character background check.
- Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 35–95 degrees or higher for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors throughout the shift.
- Ability to repeatedly push, pull, and manipulate carcasses on rails.
- Willingness to work in Harvest, Processing, Ground Beef, and Sausage areas as needed.
- Commitment to all safety, food safety, GMP, USDA, and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work effectively near other employees in a team-oriented production environment.
- Neat, legible handwriting and the ability to accurately read and complete audits.
- Ability to multitask, work efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain engaged until assignments are complete and overcome obstacles.
- Accountability for performance and results.
- Open and honest communication with a commitment to following policies and procedures.
The starting pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.
