Job Summary !

If you're interested in an Entry Level Seed Technician job , then this is the best role for you ! Seed Technicians are involved in all aspects of seed production within a location. Indoor seed processing and packaging activities may include receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, and warehousing seed. Outdoor activities may involve planting, pollinating, taking notes, data entry, and hand harvesting.

Job Description

• May be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
• R&D positions may involve electronic data collection in field and laboratory settings using PCs and handheld devices.
• Manufacturing (Production) positions may include organizing, moving, and placing seed into storage, and maintaining inventory accuracy using electronic inventory systems.

Skills Required

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions in English and perform assigned tasks accurately.
• Must adhere to all client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support all site safety requirements.
• Previous experience with MS Office, Excel, and other standard computer or software systems may be required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment maintenance, including the ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment, may be required.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and / or related experience may be required.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening .
• Candidate must be available for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 12:30 AM) and willing to work 10–12 hours of overtime per week.
• Activities may require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing.
• Extended hours may be required during the peak seasons.

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary : $21.00 to $28.96 per hour based on qualifications.
