Sr. Mechanical Designer
Seeking a seasoned Mechanical Designer III to bring senior-level expertise to our clients engineering team in Tallassee, Alabama. This role is essential to our mission of delivering smart water solutions, requiring a high degree of proficiency in 3D solid modeling-specifically PTC Creo-and a deep understanding of PLM systems like Windchill. As a leader in the design process, you will be responsible for everything from initial concept formulation to the final audit of production releases, all while mentoring the next generation of designers and engineers. education: Associates responsibilities:
- Create and modify high-level 3D solid models and detailed 2D mechanical drawings for complex systems and components.
- Translate design concepts, sketches, and engineering specifications into accurate technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) and project-related engineering data.
- Partner with project engineers to lead the formulation and development of new product design concepts.
- Oversee the Engineering Change and Release process, including the rigorous checking and auditing of peer work.
- Organize and prepare all drawing documentation to ensure seamless formal production releases.
- Provide expert mentorship to junior designers and engineers to improve team technical capabilities and CAD standards.
- Manage multiple tactical and new product development projects with minimal supervision.
