Date: 11/14/2025 Job Title: Transmissions Analyst Work Location: Birmingham, Alabama 35243 Education Two-year degree from a technical school/university with related work experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology may be preferred. Requirements Assignment Schedule: In office Mon-Thurs with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. Starting schedule will be 8AM-5PM with potential to adjust as experience in role is gained. Key Responsibilities Facilitating Project Closeout processes in support of the Operating Company's transmission capital project program. Regular interaction with various departments among multiple organizations including, but not limited to Engineering, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Project Management, Construction, and Compliance in support of the review and reconciliation of charges against the scope of work completed in order to close out the project after it has been placed in service. Researching and resolving variances between actuals and estimates. Closing capital projects. Tracking capital project closeout status. Providing business reports and maintaining proper documentation. Developing and leveraging customer‑focused relationships with all stakeholders involved in the design and construction of transmission projects. Performing data analysis to facilitate process improvements and development of best practices. Knowledge Familiarity with line design, construction, operation and/or maintenance. Working knowledge of the materials used in the construction of transmission line projects. Understanding of line construction scope, equipment, materials and associated costs. Technical Skills Experience with TEAMS (Transmission Estimating and Management System), Maximo, Vault and/or PowerPlan is a plus. Analytical Skills Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products with the ability to manage and analyze large sets of transaction data. Teamwork Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues in various departments. Time management and organizational skills sufficient to manage multiple projects with various priorities and competing deadlines. Communicates effectively. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a Project Management or Project Controls related role. This request is for an analyst responsible for reconciliation of project charges after construction has been completed and the asset has been placed in service. It requires analytical skills and working power utility knowledge (Transmission Lines) to research and resolve variances between actuals and estimate based on the scope of work of each project. This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
