Primary Objective:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment: including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting and replacing defective parts

Experience Requirements:

• Must be experienced in the hand tools, power tools, metal working tools, ladders, buffers, gauges and precision measuring instruments

• Must be able to work with machine parts, manuals, lubricants, and chemicals

• Must be able to read and write standard English

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.

Competencies:

• Follow all safety procedures in the safe servicing of plant equipment.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment: including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting and replacing defective parts

• Perform cutting and welding as needed during shift for all departments, following proper hot work procedures

• Perform weekly PM’s

• Perform any miscellaneous duties as required by supervision

• Must be able to work on a team with limited supervision

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.

• Must work in 90°F plus temperatures and with equipment that may exceeded 500°F

• Must be able to do heavy lifting on a regular basis (up to 75 pounds)

• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, water, humidity and temperature variations.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and in precarious places.
