Job Title: Drywall FinisherJob Description

Join our dynamic team working on a wide range of commercial construction projects, including banks, doctor’s offices, hospitals, schools, and churches. As a Drywall Finisher, you will focus on hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall to achieve high-quality, smooth surfaces ready for paint and final finishes.

Responsibilities

• Hang, tape, mud, and sand drywall to commercial-grade standards
• Apply joint compound, tape seams, and finish corners and edges
• Repair and patch drywall surfaces as needed
• Prepare surfaces for painting and final finishes
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints accurately
• Work with metal stud framing and backing as required
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Utilize hand and power tools efficiently and safely

Essential Skills

• Proficient in drywall hanging and finishing techniques
• 3–7+ years of experience in commercial drywall finishing
• Strong knowledge of taping, mudding, sanding, and texture application
• Ability to measure accurately using tape measures
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools
• Familiarity with commercial construction practices and jobsite standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with metal stud framing and layout
• Knowledge of different drywall types and finishing levels
• Ability to work from blueprints and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
