American Driver is hiring in Birmingham, AL. If you have your Class A CDL and you're looking for an OTR position that gives you real training, consistent miles, and a paycheck you can count on — this is worth a look.
No prior experience required. We put you with a mentor, train you on live freight, and get you to solo as fast as you're ready.
Training:
- 4–6 weeks fully paid with a dedicated mentor
- Live freight from day one
- ELD, HOS, inspections, and daily operations covered
- Weekly pay throughout
- Solo at $0.56 CPM after completion
On the Road:
- No-touch dry van freight
- 60% drop and hook
- 2,200–2,500 miles per week
- Consistent freight, minimal downtime
Pay:
- $0.56–$0.65 CPM based on experience
- Most drivers earn $1,200–$1,500 weekly
- Stop, layover, and breakdown pay
- Six-month pay increase
- $300 orientation pay
- Weekly direct deposit
Home Time:
- Every two weeks on a planned schedule
Equipment:
- Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025) with APUs

Requirements:
- Class A CDL, age 21+
- 120+ hours of instruction from an accredited truck driving school required to qualify for paid training
- No major violations last 3 years
- No DUI last 5 years
