Diversified Sourcing Solutions is looking for a Materials Technician in Homewood, AL. The Quality Control Technician would be part of the quality control team to ensure produced products meet quality and compliance standards.

Pay : $18 per hour

Shift : Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:
Read and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs) for visual inspection of pellets and
container closure system, analytical balance daily calibration, use and cleaning, and instructions
for populating a cGMP batch record.
Follow good documentation practices (GDP) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP)
guidelines when populating batch records and associated forms.
Weigh and visually inspect a selection of in-process pellets from each production batch to ensure
the pellet weights are within set specifications.
Sample and visually inspect vials and caps, product labels, and secondary packaging for defects
and categorize them accordingly.
Escalate to Quality Management if samples are found to not meet the batch record specifications.
Communicate with Operations to schedule samplings prioritize as needed.
Act as a Quality Representative on the production floor and be available to answer questions that
Operations may have and escalate to Quality Management if unsure of the answer.
Populate the appropriate portions of the batch records contemporaneously and accurately with
activities done.
Additional tasks as assigned by manager to support the QC Team and Quality Unit.
Assist Operations helping implement changes by the Quality Unit on the production floor.
Review the batch record and associated documentation in real-time as the Quality Representative
and provide Quality oversight.

Required Skills:
Ability to gown into an ISO Class 8 environment practicing strong aseptic technique, including
wearing a personal respirator
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to stay focused and on-task with little to no supervision
Strong sense of integrity and responsibility
Ability to follow a schedule and adjust to shifting priorities in an organized manner
Communicate effectively within the QC Team and with Operations as needed
Willingness to learn new things and expand role as needed to support the QC Team
Experience calibrating and utilizing an analytical balance

Preferred Skills:
Four-year bachelor’s degree from accredited school
Experience working in a clean room, aseptic, or ISO class environment
Experience working in a cGMP environment, regulated industry, or pharmacy
