Ignite your passion for education as a Secondary English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher, making a real difference in the lives of students. In this full-time contract position, you'll have the opportunity to develop creative, standards-based lesson plans and foster a motivating learning environment. You'll play a vital role in shaping students’ understanding and appreciation for literature, language, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dynamic English Language Arts instruction to secondary-level students
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with Alabama state standards
- Establish a classroom atmosphere that is inclusive, positive, and supportive
- Evaluate student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance
- Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families to promote student growth
- Maintain accurate academic and behavioral records for each student
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama Teacher Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a focus or endorsement in English
- Excellent classroom management abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Dedication to fostering student achievement and creating academic excellence
