Piping Designers

Genesis Technical Staffing is seeking Piping Designersfor long-term contract assignment in Birmingham, AL. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering team working on high-profile industrial projects, including those in the pulp and paper and other heavy industrial sectors. Equipment and piping arrangement experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop piping designs using AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar 3D design software
• Create and review piping layouts, isometrics, and equipment arrangements
• Ensure designs adhere to project specifications, standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve design issues
• Assist in field verification and support installation phases as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in piping design for industrial facilities
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D (or similar software such as SmartPlant, CADWorx)
• Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and fabrication methods
• Previous experience in pulp and paper or heavy industrial project environments preferred
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting
