As a Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrol in Talladega, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all. Your visible presence will support a welcoming atmosphere, while your customer service and communication skills will be key in interacting with staff and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and respond to alarm panels as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Follow all Allied Universal protocols and guidelines while performing duties at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
